Glub Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Glub is an aquarium management application developed by HS Works ("we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information (Optional)

If you sign in with Google, we receive the following from your Google account:

• Full name
• Email address
• Profile photo URL

This information is used solely for authentication and displaying your profile within the app. You can use Glub as a guest without providing any personal information.

2.2 User-Generated Aquarium Data

The app stores data you voluntarily enter:

• Tank information: name, size, type, equipment details, notes
• Fish inventory: species names, quantities, dates
• Plant inventory: plant names, quantities, dates
• Water parameters: pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, temperature, GH, KH readings
• Reminders: maintenance schedules and due dates
• Photos: tank photos taken via camera or selected from gallery

This data is stored locally on your device. If you sign in, it is additionally synced to our cloud service for backup and cross-device access. Photos are never uploaded — they remain on your device only.

2.3 Automatically Collected Data

We do not use any analytics SDKs. No browsing activity, location, contacts, or other sensitive data is collected.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's core functionality
• To sync your aquarium data across devices when signed in
• To display advertisements in the free version
• To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs
• To authenticate your identity when signing in

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your aquarium data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. If you sign in, data is additionally synced to Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption in transit. Supabase enforces row-level security ensuring users can only access their own data.

5. Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

No data is shared for purposes beyond those listed above.

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to:

• Use the app without an account: Guest mode requires no personal information
• Delete your account and all data: Use the "Delete Account" button in Settings, or email us. All data is permanently removed from our servers immediately
• Export your data: Use the Export feature in the app to download your aquarium data as JSON
• Opt out of personalized ads: Adjust your advertising preferences in your device settings

8. Data Retention

• Account and aquarium data is retained as long as your account is active
• Upon account deletion, all user data is removed from our servers immediately
• Crash reports are anonymized and cannot be linked back to your account after deletion
• Local data on your device is not automatically deleted — uninstall the app or clear app data to remove it

9. Children's Privacy

Glub is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
