Glub is an aquarium management application developed by HS Works ("we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
If you sign in with Google, we receive the following from your Google account:
This information is used solely for authentication and displaying your profile within the app. You can use Glub as a guest without providing any personal information.
The app stores data you voluntarily enter:
This data is stored locally on your device. If you sign in, it is additionally synced to our cloud service for backup and cross-device access. Photos are never uploaded — they remain on your device only.

Analytics data is used only in aggregate to improve Glub and to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising campaigns (for example, app installs from Google Ads). We do not sell it and we do not use it to identify you personally. Google's services listed above (Firebase and AdMob) may derive an approximate location, such as your country or city, from your IP address. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, web browsing history, or other sensitive data.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics follow your choice in the consent form shown by the app: if you decline, analytics and crash reporting are switched off on your device, and while the form is waiting for your choice no analytics that identify your account (such as the pseudonymous user ID) are sent. Your choice is passed to Google using Google's consent mode. You can change it at any time under Settings > Privacy Preferences.
To deliver the reminder notifications you set up, the titles and texts of your reminders are stored on our server. To deliver a reminder, our server sends its title, its text and a small amount of technical data (which screen to open, and the reminder ID and type) to Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, which passes the notification on to your device. Stored reminders are kept while your account is active and are deleted with your account.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.
Your aquarium data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. If you sign in, data is additionally synced to Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption in transit. Supabase enforces row-level security ensuring users can only access their own data.

Glub is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
